“It was the best of times.  It was the worst of times.”

Is that how it went?  Something like that…I read The Tale Of Two Cities in 9th grade, I think.  Wait…did I?  Wow…my memory is fading. Maybe it was 10th grade!  I just picked up Little Women from the library today for my 12 year old and it makes me so happy to see her reading such classics (well…with a little forcefulness on my part, or she’d be reading the Harry Potter series for the 4th time)…and that reminded me of the Dickens classic…and that made me think of these two recent babies…

As much as parents hope, the baby always has his own agenda.  I like to use ‘subtle manipulation’ to get the baby to operate under ‘my terms’, but I know better than to think that anyone other than the baby is in control.  Which is ok…I don’t mind one bit. I like seeing a bit of who their personalities…

This first sweet baby…he was awake.  A lot.  He wanted nothing to do with sleep…but after a couple of hours and after the parents were exhausted and ready to throw in the towel, he finally closed those beautiful eyes and allowed us to get a few shots of him in deep slumber…

In contrast…this second baby…well, she was a hardcore sleeping machine.  So much so, that we were trying *everything* to wake this little girl up…she just wasn’t having any of it.  But eventually she gave up the fight and gazed at me with her sweet soft expressions…ahhh…

A Tale Of Two Babies…
