Aaaaaandd…we’ve got snow.  Some of it anyway.  I’m not sure what is going on, but Central PA has gotten some lame snowfalls the past few years.  Where are those big ‘ole snowfalls that need a yardstick to be measured?  You know…the ones where you need to go to the store and stock up on hot chocolate and cookie ingredients?  It seems like every ‘snowstorm’ we get lately is piddly…a couple of inches at best, while those in the south/north/east/west of us get dumped on.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m always very ready for spring by February just like everyone else, but can a girl get a big snowstorm every now and then?  Sheesh!

So while we don’t have a ton of snow on the ground (just enough to go sledding on…so I shouldn’t complain!), it is cold…very, very cold.  The kind of cold that makes it impossible for pseudo-runners like myself to get the motivation to strap on running shoes and risk life and limb running on the icy sidewalks/roads.  And the wind?  Don’t get me started on the wind!  So when I can hear the biting wind at the window…I have to remind myself that before long, the sun will be streaming through beautiful Happy Valley and the grass will be green…the skies will be blue…and my running shoes will be well worn.

Bright sunshine
