Spring in State College is an exercise in patience.  So many ups and downs…extraordinarily beautiful days…extraordinarly cold and gray days.  Of course we need to take the bad with the good, but when I can get a client outdoors for a little fun in the sun, I’m one happy girl!

I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family for the past two years, and a couple of weeks ago we had one last session before they move on South (and not just for the winter).  I had *so* much fun running around in the sunshine!  And I must say…I think they had just as much fun…

Consequently, these last two images are two of my recent favorites.  And quite possibly, my favorite mom/child shots ever.  They both exude great emotion, but both in such different ways.  Which, in my opinion, is the beauty of motherhood.
