It is Christmas Eve, and instead of doing all of the things I *should* be doing, I am going through my images from Italy. Because I wanted to post a few of my favorites – – a few of ‘people’. Because photographing ‘people’ is what I do best. It wasn’t until the last day of my trip that I began to photograph people – – because I was too nervous to invade the personal space of those around me. But on that last day, I was brave…I was open…and I was confident. And photographing the people of Rome, for even that short day, was so inspiring – – it is one of the main reasons that I need to revisit. Now that I’ve got my ‘people’ legs.
A street peddler near the Pantheon…
A Dutch tour guide in front of the Pantheon…
A violinist playing for money on the street in front of Piazza Venezia…
A tourist getting her picture taken with a Roman Gladiator in front of the Colosseum. Funny…they thought it was free to pose with him, and were shocked when he charged them 5 Euro after they were done. There’s no free lunch folks!
