For quite some time now, I’ve wanted to offer a different kind of session – – a session that captures a ‘day in the life’, so to speak.  A session where I spend several hours with a family, photographing the elements that make up the so-called ordinary days of a child’s life.  Whether it is your toddler taking a bubble bath, your children helping to bake cookies, your family playing at the park or swimming at the pool…there is so much to capture that makes an ordinary day seem quite extraordinary.  Quite simply, it is capturing children ‘in their element’. 

Because this type of session is so casual and relaxed, and because a lot of time is required to really capture the various elements of any given day, the length of the session is approximately three hours.  In those three hours, I will photograph your children at up to two locations, one of which should be your home, where your children feel most comfortable.  This type of session can also be ‘themed’ – – think  birthday parties, a fishing trip, a day at the park, etc.

Rather than deliver a bunch of photographic prints, this session includes a 10×10, hardbound coffee-table style storybook, which is the perfect way to fully incorporate all of the elements of our day together.  The book will include many of the images from your session, and can include a variety of design elements. 

The investment on the ‘In Their Element’ session is $1000, which includes a 3 hours of time, one 10×10 storybook and a 10% discount on any additional portraits ordered.  Additional storybooks are available for $300.
